If you're bothered by double chin you're not alone. According to a 2015 survey conducted by the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS), 67% of people said they are bothered by double chin.*
Double chin CoolSculpting uses a patented device to draw the skin and underlying fat into a cup, chilling the area for roughly an hour and killing fat cells in the localized area. Once a fat cell is dead, it is gone forever.
You can now eliminate a double chin with this non-surgical treatment, the only FDA cleared non-invasive procedure that can help you submental fullness once and for all.
The double chin CoolSculpting treatment requires no needles, no surgery, and no downtime.
Zeltiq has developed a specialized hand-piece to treat the chin area. A consultation with a Bella Medspa Coolsculpting technician is first performed to determine if this procedure is right for you. A customized treatment plan is then created based on your goals. For treatment a small hand-piece is placed on your chin for about one hour to freeze the fat in this area.
When heat is removed and the temperature of the fat cell dropped, the fat cells begin to die. Fat cells die at a higher temperature than other tissue allowing the treatment to effect only the fat cells. Zeltiq used this fact to create a procedure that freezes fat cells to treat specific, localized areas of your body.
Once the fat cells are dead, your body will naturally eliminate them. You will start to see results over the next 3 weeks, but you will notice the best results over the next 3 months as your body is still cleansing itself of the unwanted, and unneeded fat.
The CoolSculpting procedure has been in use since 2010 for the abdomen, waist, inner and outer thighs and arms. In 2015 Zeltiq introduced the new application to treat double chin.
The double chin CoolScupting procedure is a safe and effective option for the removal of stubborn submental fat, or the double chin.
